When can you be called a 'Saint'?

Updated: Oct 6, 2021

When I finished Primary School, we sang in the Musical Alles Kidts: 'When the Saints go, marching in'. Wouldn't that change the world! We have two Bible quotes, that state the importance of being a saint:

  1. 'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God!' and;

  2. 'For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God, to be revealed.'

What does it mean, to be a saint, that believes in God? Does it need faith and modest behaviour or does it actually asks, a significant change of heart? To be a saint, is not only having faith in God and a fall, before the wedding day; it involves principles, for example:

  • What do I watch on TV, since it does not change my heart;

  • What do I wear; is it trendy, without being offensive;

  • What do I do; what is your motivation;

  • What do I do before, I have my first Date and official Engagement;

  • What do I share with others; is it to educate and protect?;

  • What are your conversations like; are they intentional good or hurtful?;

  • Do you drive mono, or are you hurtful in the area of heart and honor?

  • Not being passive in being good to others.

By being a saint, we should be kind, but not offensive; we cannot act being a saint; it is the inward adorning of the heart, as Peter tells you! So, it does need a repentance, in order to be called a Saint, and even a Baptism (+) to be pure in heart, than you'll have true, modest behaviour, when the Spirit has been invited too!
